This place was fantastic, the food, all of it was perfect. We did make reservations but werent seated till about 25 mins after., hence the 4., but hey it was a saturday night. Initially we felt the staff was very....standoffish, but in their defense though, they were swammped super busy. but once the place cleared out and we were seated, the service was awesome. Our waitress was spectacular very attentive which rates really high for me. There were 5 of us, 2 kids, 3 adults. We all ordered, but added 2 extra entrees because the selection/ variety were so mouth watering we just couldnt decide, everything right down to the dessert, which was to die for, was supreme. And I am a very picky eater and i chef alot, so i know great food. I also HATE to go out and pay for something thats end up tasting like crap, or blah.. Everything was way beyond our expectations. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend, stop by and give this place a shot. Its not big and not really fancy on the inside, but hey, im going for the food not the decoration. So again, GO, give it a shot, I REALLY dont think you will be disappointed, id be shocked if you were. ENJOY and again thank you to the staff and owner, you were great and we had a wonderful dining experience with you. ps: I wish i would have taken pictures, but just go!!
I took my kids here for brunch this past weekend and we were pleasantly surprised! I was a bit hesitant because I noticed that the menu online mentions a respectful decline of modifications. Given that I am on a vegan diet, I automatically assumed there would be no options for me here. So I went intentionally knowing that I would most likely have to get something to eat for myself from somewhere else after the kiddos dined. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but... Once you go in, it instantly transforms into a super chic and centric snug restaurant! The music, ambiance, decorations, and wall art were on point! My kids had the very berry French toast and the short rib chilaquiles, they thought both were delicious! I asked if it was possible to have the Blazing Noodles without the chile crisp, the furkake, and the raw egg yolk so I can accomodate my diet and they said yes! The noodles were delish! They have a kick to them, which I was expecting with the name of the dish but it was very tasty! Service was excellent and the chef even came out to check on us while we were dining! 🥰 The bartender was super friendly and approachable and he was helping with delivering the plates to tables. Overall, we truly enjoyed ourselves and I was elated that I could eat there as well! I noticed that they have a small stage and it looks like they have events here every so often, will def check it out again! A brunch spot worth trying out for sure!!
I had an incredible experience at Lady R Bistro! The food was absolutely delicious, prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was top notch, and the live music made it even more special. We had no wait and everything felt seamless from start to finish. It’s tucked into a cute little boutique area in Sun City, which makes it even more charming. You’re seriously missing out if you don’t go — if I were you, I’d make this my first choice every time. This place is truly amazing!
I am from Chicago and moving to California has been rough. Food has been so bad and no subway. But I found this place and now I can eat happy! I had the empanadas and loaded tater tots so far. Amazing waiting for the main dish. And it's looking beautiful!
I was in this area for a fitness event at the gym a few doors down, and decided to stop in. We were not disappointed at all, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was so cute and inviting! I love the pop art and the decor, and the chef even came out and made suggestions based on what I was craving. She is the sweetest! I got the shrimp and grits(polenta), which had soooo much flavor, and the shrimp were BIG! The staff was great, they were joking and laughing with us, the tables were promptly pre bussed, and I can’t stop thinking about those elote corn ribs. I have no notes, and will make sure i come back when i’m in the area.

I truly enjoyed this little Bistro. It had such a retro chic feel. The menu is small but I was able to find something I liked. I got the Carpaccio salad and it was good. The Tenderloin was fresh and thinly sliced. The capers were nicely fried, onions thinly shaved. So good. And just the right amount of dressing on the sides. Brava!
Came in 20mins before closing on our way out to Joshua Tree and were kindly seated to dine in! Ordered the sweet corn tamale, poutine gravy fries, and chilaquiles to share and liked it all! The poutine gravy fries were especially tasty; having Oaxacan roots I was so pleasantly surprised that Oaxacan cheese was used in this and other dishes. I also tried the tropical cocktail, which was tasty yet different from my usual cocktail tastes in that it was slightly fizzy. My husband asked for an iced coffee and was accommodated by the staff making a cafe de olla then pouring it over ice. It was a good neutral flavor! Our one regret is feeling too full to try dessert, but hopefully we can come back one day to give it a shot.
We hosted an Alignable networking event on January 20, 2026, at Lady R Bistro, and it was a fantastic experience. The space was perfect for our group, the food was great, and the service was excellent. The staff was very accommodating and made hosting the event easy and stress-free. Our attendees felt comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. Huge thank you to Rosie and her husband, Chris, for being so welcoming and hands-on. Their hospitality truly made the night special. I highly recommend Lady R Bistro for both a great meal and for hosting special events. We will definitely be back!
A hidden gem in Sun City! It is a small spot that has a very chic decor, fantastic food choices and the most energetic staff you will find this side of town! My husband got the Howdy Burger and I ordered the short ribs. Both were so delicious we just couldn't stop eating. There is live music here and the band that played was awesome. Chef Rosie and Kris are the kindest people you will ever meet and we will definitely be frequent visitors here! Highly recommend!!
